A safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment is fundamental to the student experience. As a Security Officer at Stanmore College, you will play an important role in helping to create a campus where students, staff, and visitors feel secure, supported, and respected.

 

This is a varied and highly visible role that requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and a professional approach. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students, engage confidently with a wide range of people, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the College by maintaining a secure, welcoming, and orderly environment.

 

The Role

You will join the Estates team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming College environment for students, staff, and visitors.

 

You will:

  • Support the day-to-day security and smooth operation of the College campus.
  • Monitor activity across the site and promote positive standards of behaviour.
  • Control access to College buildings and grounds and help maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Carry out regular patrols and support the security of College facilities and premises.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, concerns, and requests for assistance.
  • Build positive relationships with students and act as a visible and approachable presence on campus.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day operation of the College.
