A safe, welcoming, and well-managed environment is fundamental to the student experience. As a Security Officer at Stanmore College, you will play an important role in helping to create a campus where students, staff, and visitors feel secure, supported, and respected.

This is a varied and highly visible role that requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and a professional approach. We are looking for someone who can build positive relationships with students, engage confidently with a wide range of people, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the College by maintaining a secure, welcoming, and orderly environment.

The Role

You will join the Estates team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming College environment for students, staff, and visitors.

You will:

Support the day-to-day security and smooth operation of the College campus.
Monitor activity across the site and promote positive standards of behaviour.
Control access to College buildings and grounds and help maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Carry out regular patrols and support the security of College facilities and premises.
Respond appropriately to incidents, concerns, and requests for assistance.
Build positive relationships with students and act as a visible and approachable presence on campus.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day operation of the College.
