Revenue Finance Clerk
Location: Guernsey
Reporting to: Revenue Finance Officer
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Revenue Finance Clerk to support the Revenue Finance Officer in managing and reconciling the airline’s revenue streams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong finance administration and credit control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing revenue transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end reporting. The role will work closely with both the Finance and Commercial teams to ensure revenue is accurately recorded and debtor accounts are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile revenue from the Passenger Service System (VRS) to accounting ledgers and bank accounts.
- Process invoices and maintain receivables records within SAGE.
- Reconcile Business Plus accounts, onboard sales, travel agent income, and cashbooks.
- Manage credit control activities and ensure debtor accounts remain up to date.
- Process customer flight refunds and other revenue-related adjustments.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations and support reporting deadlines.
- Respond to stakeholder queries regarding debtor balances and account status.
- Maintain accurate process documentation and support audit requirements.
- Assist with improving financial processes and reconciliation procedures.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in credit control or receivables ledger roles.
- Experience using SAGE 200 or a similar accounting system.
- Working knowledge of the VRS (Videcom) ticketing system.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Experience within aviation or high-volume finance environments.
- Knowledge of airline accounting processes.
- Understanding of the Channel Islands business environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified by experience or holding a bookkeeping/accounting qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 or 3 education (GCSE, BTEC, A-Level or equivalent).
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to complete GSAT security training and obtain an airside pass, including a verifiable five-year employment history.
- A current police check will be required.
