Lead and Develop English Provision

This is an excellent opportunity to join Stanmore College as Curriculum Manager for English, taking a leading role in the management, development, and delivery of high-quality English provision across the College.

The role requires an experienced and effective leader who can inspire and develop a team of staff, drive high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, and contribute to the strategic development of the curriculum. You will play a key role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, supporting staff performance, and ensuring that provision remains ambitious, innovative, and responsive to learner needs.

As Curriculum Manager for English, you will play an important role in this journey, leading curriculum development, driving quality improvement, and helping to shape an ambitious provision that supports learner achievement and progression.

 

The Role 

You will lead the English curriculum area, with responsibility for managing a team of staff and overseeing the delivery and continuous development of high-quality provision.

You will: 

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of English lecturers, promoting high performance, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Drive excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring strong learner outcomes and a positive student experience.
  • Lead curriculum planning and development, ensuring provision remains ambitious, responsive, and aligned with learner needs.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including attendance, retention, achievement, progress, and student satisfaction.
  • Ensure robust quality assurance and continuous improvement processes are embedded across the curriculum area.
  • Work collaboratively across the College to support learner recruitment, progression, and the effective delivery of English provision.

Salary: £46,078 - £49,718 per annum
