Football Lead Coach

(Permanent, Part-Time)

Develop Talent, Build Confidence and Lead the Football Programme

Football has the power to inspire, motivate, and bring out the best in young people. As Football Lead Coach at Stanmore College, you will play a key role in developing talented student players both on and off the pitch, helping them build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and ambition while supporting their wider educational journey.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced coach who can use their knowledge of the game to create a positive, high-performance environment for learners aged 16–19. Whether leading training sessions, managing competitive fixtures, or supporting individual player development, you will help students maximise their potential while representing the College with pride.

Join Us at an Exciting Time

Stanmore College is entering a transformative period, supported by a £60 million redevelopment investment that will create a modern, sustainable campus for learners, staff, and the wider community.

Alongside significant investment in facilities, the College continues to invest in opportunities that enhance the student experience, including sport, enrichment, and personal development. As Football Lead Coach, you will play an important role in shaping and growing a programme that supports learner success both on and off the pitch.

The Role

You will lead the College football programme, overseeing coaching delivery, fixtures, recruitment, and the day-to-day organisation of football activities across Stanmore College and Bannister Sports Stadium.

You will:

  • Lead and manage the College football programme, including training, fixtures, competitions, and player development.
  • Deliver high-quality coaching sessions that support both individual and team performance.
  • Organise matchday operations, scheduling, equipment, venues, and football administration.
  • Support student progress and engagement, working closely with tutors and College staff.
  • Contribute to recruitment, taster events, marketing activities, and the continued growth of the football provision.
  • Build positive relationships with students, schools, clubs, and external partners to strengthen participation and progression opportunities.

Why This Role Matters?

The College football programme plays an important role in enriching the student experience and supporting learner development beyond the classroom. This role is central to creating opportunities for students to develop their sporting ability, confidence, resilience, and teamwork while balancing their academic studies.

Through high-quality coaching, strong leadership, and positive role modelling, you will help students achieve their goals, represent the College successfully, and develop skills that will benefit them both within sport and throughout their future careers.
