About HBHR
HBHR is a fast-growing UK HR SaaS platform that brings HR and Payroll together in one AI-driven workforce platform. We support hundreds of organisations across healthcare, education, charities, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, and professional services, including the NHS, YMCA, Mind, Barnardos, and the University of Cambridge.
The role
We already have a handful of active partners who are helping shape how HBHR grows. Your job is to build on that — bringing in new partners, deepening the relationships we have, and making HBHR the kind of company that partners genuinely want to work with.
You’ll report to our Head of PR & Communications and work closely with our commercial, marketing, and product teams. Partnerships at HBHR sit at the intersection of brand, ecosystem, and growth — it’s less about transactions and more about finding the right people and organisations who believe in what we’re building and want to grow alongside us.
You’ll focus on two partner types:
• HR consultancies and independent HR advisors who work closely with our target clients and can introduce HBHR where it’s a genuine fit
• Technology integration partners — complementary SaaS tools whose customers overlap with ours (payroll, benefits, learning, ATS, T&A hardware, and adjacent workforce platforms)
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage a steady state. It’s for someone who gets energy from building genuine, lasting relationships — who understands that the best partnerships are grounded in trust and mutual value, not just signed agreements.
What you’ll do
Grow the partner network. Identify and build relationships with HR consultancies, independent advisors, and tech partners who are a strong fit for HBHR. Lead thoughtful, considered outreach and develop a growing network of people who understand and believe in what we offer.
Onboard and support partners. Make sure new partners feel confident representing HBHR — through product walkthroughs, sector-specific positioning, and the collateral and support they need to introduce us well.
Be the person partners trust. Own the ongoing relationships. Check in regularly, understand partners’ businesses, spot opportunities for deeper collaboration, and make sure HBHR is genuinely useful to them — not just a referral arrangement on paper.
Collaborate across the business. Work closely with PR & Communications, marketing, sales, product, and client operations on joint events, co-marketing campaigns, and partner announcements. You’ll be the bridge between our external partner ecosystem and our internal teams.
Develop the programme. Build out scalable enablement materials, shape how the partnership programme works, and help define what great looks like as it matures.
Spot integration opportunities. Identify where technology integrations could create genuine value for our shared customers, and work with product on feasibility and go-to-market.
What we’re looking for
Essential
• Proven experience in partnerships, ecosystem development, or relationship management within a B2B environment
• A track record of building genuine, lasting relationships with external partners or stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and the ability to represent HBHR with warmth and credibility
• Commercially aware — you understand what motivates partners and how to structure relationships that work for both sides
• A self-starter who’s comfortable with ambiguity and building things from a relatively early stage
• Organised, with good instincts for managing multiple relationships and conversations at once
Desirable
• Experience in HR tech, payroll, or workforce management
• Familiarity with UK HR consultancy ecosystems or SaaS integration partnerships
• Experience developing or scaling a partner programme
What we offer
• £40,000 – £50,000 base salary depending on experience
• Hybrid working from our London office in Soho (Medius House, Sheraton Street, W1F) — 3 days in office, 2 days remote
• 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by one day per year of service up to 28 days
• Private healthcare cover on completion of probation
• Workplace pension scheme
• The autonomy to build something that genuinely matters to the business
• A collaborative, ambitious team that moves fast and supports each other
• Real career progression as the partnership function scales, with the chance to grow into a leadership role as we expand the team
